Tour from Marrakesh 4 Days

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges

Early morning pick up from your Riad/Hotel in Marrakech and travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the Ticha Pass (2260 m), the highest road pass in Morocco. Offering panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and their magnificent landscapes, we visit several Kasbah along the way – including Telouet and Ait Benhaddou. The Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou is a 16th century UNESCO site – one of the best-preserved and most spectacular Kasbah in Morocco. Scenes from the blockbuster hit movie of 2000 – Gladiator – were filmed in Ait Benhaddou, lunch in the Kasbah.

Then continue our journey towards Ouarzazate, where we will stop to visit the Cinema Studios (optional) and another fortified Kasbah in the heart of the city. Leaving Ouarzazate towards Skoura where we will visit the Kasbah of Amredil, a beautiful Kasbah situated in the palm groves “Route of one thousand Kasbahs”. Later on, Our journey continues through the Valley of Roses (famous for its annual festival of Damascus roses, a short visit to a local cooperative running by locals to learn about the benefits of Rose’s water and the cosmetic products made of. After that, we will join the Dades gorges and see the rock formations. We will spend the night at Dades Gorges dinner and overnight at the hotel or Riad (HB).

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Sahara Desert Merzouga

This morning after breakfast in the hotel,  we continue to Tineghir then to Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous views of Canyons. We will walk around the Palm groves and enjoy the panoramic views of the Todra River. Later on, we will continue driving toward Erfoud. Later you will pass by several villages such as Touroug (Berber village) and El-Jarf. Stop for a lunch meal at a local restaurant before reaching Erfoud. Here, we will visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that you will continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, these dunes are called also Merzouga Dunes. Arrive at the hotel and get ready for a camel trek for an hour and a half to enjoy a lifetime sunset. after taking some amazing photos of the sunset, we will continue our camel caravan trek to join the Desert Camp, where we will spend a night in a traditional nomad tent. Dinner and the middle of the dunes.Dinner and overnight in Kasbah or hotel (HB).

Day 3: Sahara Desert Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate

Don’t miss the sunrise,  early morning wake-up is recommended to assist sunrise from the top of the Chebbi sand dunes. Then you will camel trek to the Kasbah where you will enjoy a Berber and delicious breakfast served by friendly Berber people; (in case you choose a luxury camp, breakfast and will be served onsite, as well you will take shower as you have tents with private bathrooms) breakfast at the campsite you will ride the camel’s back to the auberge. From there it will be a long day driving to Ait Ben Haddou through the village of Rissani where we will have a stop to visit its old markets, then, continue to Ouarzazate through the gorgeous Draa Valley and Anti-Atlas Mountains. Ait Benhaddou is a small town with one of the best-preserved and most sought-after Kasbah’s to visit in all of Morocco. Overnight in Ait Ben Haddou (HB).

Day 4: Ait Ben Haddou – the Atlas Mountains – Marrakesh

After breakfast, we will have free time to take some photos of the UNESCO site, before heading back to Marrakesh, our first stop will be at Kasbah Telouet, to discover this hidden gem, an old fortified kasbah, and the old house of the Pacha El Glaoui, the governor of southern Morocco and Marrakesh, this is an amazing palace with unique architecture, after exploring the Kasbah, we will continue our journey via the Tichka pass road with an attitude of 2260 M high. On-road we will have a stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the middle of the high atlas. After lunch, continue to reach the red city Marrakesh, where we will drop you at your hotel or Riad in Fes.
