The Tour from Marrakesh to Fes 5 Days is a tour that mixes the desert adventure and the charm of the two oldest imperial cities of Morocco, go through the sand dunes of erg Chebbi in Merzouga, ride camels for sunset and enjoy a night in the desert camp, visit the gorges and Kasbahs, explore the great canyons and the breathtaking gorges mixing with wild nature. Discover the local culture of the local people and enjoy Moroccan traditional cuisine, meet the local people and learn about their culture, meet the Barbary apes at the cedar forest in Azrou. This tour is full of adventure and discovery of the culture and the heritage.

Tour from Marrakesh to Fes 5 days Highlights:

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate

Early morning pick up from your Riad/Hotel in Marrakech and travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the Ticha Pass (2260 m), the highest road pass in Morocco. Offering panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and their magnificent landscapes, we visit several Kasbah along the way – including Telouet and Ait Benhaddou. The Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou is a 16th century UNESCO site – one of the best-preserved and most spectacular Kasbah in Morocco. Scenes from the blockbuster hit movie of 2000 – Gladiator – were filmed in Ait Benhaddou, lunch in the Kasbah.

Then continue our journey towards Ouarzazate, where we will stop to visit the Cinema Studios (optional) and another fortified Kasbah in the heart of the city. Dinner and overnight at the hotel or Riad in Ouarzazate (HB).

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Roses Valley – Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges

This morning after breakfast in the hotel, Leaving Ouarzazate towards Skoura where we will visit the Kasbah of Amredil, a beautiful Kasbah situated in the palm groves “Route of one thousand Kasbahs”. Later on, Our journey continues through the Valley of Roses (famous for its annual festival of Damascus roses, a short visit to a local cooperative running by locals to learn about the benefits of Rose’s water and the cosmetic products made of. And then, cross the off-road with the possibility to visit nomad families living in caves. After that, we will join the Dades gorges and see the rock formations. Stop for lunch at Boulmane Dades and have a break for photos. In the afternoon we continue to Tineghir then to Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous views of Canyons. Dinner and overnight in Kasbah or hotel (HB).

Day 3: Todra Canyons – Tinjdad – Erfoud Fossils – Sahara Desert Merzouga

This morning, after breakfast, we will walk around the Palm groves and enjoy the panoramic views of the Todra River. Later on, we will continue driving toward Erfoud. Later you will pass by several villages such as Touroug (Berber village) and El-Jarf. Stop for a lunch meal at a local restaurant before reaching Erfoud. Here, we will visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that you will continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, these dunes are called also Merzouga Dunes. Arrive at the hotel and get ready for a camel trek for an hour and a half to enjoy a lifetime sunset. after taking some amazing photos of the sunset, we will continue our camel caravan trek to join the Desert Camp, where we will spend a night in a traditional nomad tent. Dinner and the middle of the dunes.

Day 4: Exploring Merzouga Desert and Visit the desert nomads

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful sunrise on the top of the sand dunes in the Sahara Desert then have your breakfast and take shower. After these beautiful moments, you will ride your camel or 4WD back to the hotel where you will meet your driver/guide for a new adventure journey 100% authentic.
Your driver will take you on a tour through the stunning sand dunes on SUV allowing you to visit the black volcanic rocks of fossils, visit a nomad family living in a tent, visit Khamlia village (the village of black people), and entertainment of their spiritual music of Gnawa, and visit the lake Dayet Sarji that forms in springtime which attracts pink flamingos and wildlife. Then you will have a break for lunch in Khamlia village.
After lunch, you will see the canal irrigation system and have a walk on the oasis located at the foot of the dunes. Continue to your hotel for a shower and relax and have free time to enjoy the silence of the desert. Dinner and Overnight in a hotel.

Day 5: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Azrou Forest – Ifrane – Fez

You can wake up early in the morning to assist sunrise again from the top of the Chebbi sand dunes. Then you will enjoy a delicious breakfast served by friendly Berber people. After breakfast, We will leave to Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco, along the road we will have many stops to take some amazing photos of the Berber villages and the green palm oasis, we will cross Errachidia and Ziz Valley, stop for lunch at Midelt, then continue our journey to reach Azrou, the bog cedar forest, where we will stop to meet the wild Barbary Apes (Macaques). And then, continue to Fes via the beautiful city of Ifran, referred to as the small Switzerland of Morocco. After a short visit to Ifran, we will continue to Fes, where we will drop you at your hotel or Riad in Fes.
