The Kasbah Ait Benhaddou is a complex of clay and stone surrounded by walls with giant doors, inside there are several homes and buildings beautifully done, it’s is one of the most beautiful sites in the south of Morocco, declared world heritage by UNESCO since 1987.
The beauty of this region attracted and still attracting films producers and movie makers all over the world. On this fortified palace, many great and famous movies were shoots, such as; GLADIATOR, Games of the throne, Mommy… The films are set up for people in the Kasbah as one source of income for many decades; they perform as extras in various movies.
In this area between the mountains of the atlas and Sahara desert, we can find several Kasbahs forming small Berber villages, which was an amazing architecture of the original indigenous people of southern Morocco.

After visiting the kasbah, you will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the Kasbah, then, we will head back to Marrakesh through the scenic Atlas Mountains and Tichka pass.
